Welcome to the team hostel Hochkeilhaus at the foot of the Hochkönig.
Our house is located directly at the ski area and leisure mountain Hochkeil at 1400 meters in Mühlbach am Hochkönig. Our youth hostel has room for 150 holidaymakers, which means lots of friends!
We offer half and full board in winter, and self-catering in summer. Everything is there for group trips, school trips, ski courses, family trips etc.!
The Hochkeilhaus is the ideal vacation destination for ski camps, sports weeks, hiking trips but also families are welcome. Our house has a long tradition, is located in the midst of pristine nature and the mountains of the Hochkönig and has a lot to offer in both seasons.
Summer:
In the warm season we offer self-catering for groups from 70 up to 170 people.
The in-house sports field, fun court, beach volleyball court, slackline park and marmot park, the alpine flower world, children’s playground and many worth seeing excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity. The Hochkeilhaus is the ideal starting point for leisurely hikes as well as challenging mountain or climbing tours – comfortable and convenient for group vacations!
In winter:
Full or half board for ski courses, club retreats, families or groups.
The Hochkeil so snow-sure that we can get by with natural snow and do without the use of snow cannons. The Hochkeil ski area with snow park, touring trail and snowshoe trail as well as five T-bar lifts (Hochkeil lifts) are located right next to the Hochkeilhaus.
Within 15 minutes you can take the free ski bus to the Hochkönig Bergbahnen with 120 kilometers of slopes in the large ski area. Live in Ski Amadé!
